The Antelope Valley Gem and Mineral Club invites you to attend any social meeting held on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, 42521 20th Street West, Lancaster.
Many interesting and varied programs are offered: Educational films and speakers, auctions of lapidary material, lapidary and jewelry classes, etc. The club holds a summer picnic and an end of the year party. We also provide scholarships to local college students.
A field trip to study geology and to gather mineral and lapidary material is offered each month during cooler months. Club lapidary equipment (saws, grinders, and polishers) is available for members to use to work up material found on these trips.
The Antelope Valley Gem and Mineral Club sponsors a free gem and mineral show in April, held at Lancaster High School. We are also active in the Antelope Valley Fair held at the end of August.
WE ARE AN ACTIVE CLUB, IF YOU ARE INTERESTED PLEASE COME VISIT US AT ONE OF OUR MEETINGS. See map below on where we are located for meetings.
The club is affiliated with the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies and California Federation Mineralogical Societies.
